Here is a poem that tries (as hard as a poem can try) to answer the question, « What is weight stigma for me? » I was inspired by this theme, brought by Kendra Sibelius, along with a blog carnival. Here is my spine of words.

Seeing the self too much
Seeing the flesh
Over
Seeing
Trying to prune back to the bone
So hard
But not being able not to see
Fat is no less a feeling than
A sight I look for
In haste
A fright I look at
A paste

This poem is a reminder
Of right ragging
Of skeletons
And ambiguity

I’d like to be back
To the starting line
